Bluetooth Connection Guide

This is a "How To" for Connecting the Nokia Series 60 device (Nokia 7610, 6600, 3650, 3660 etc...) via Bluetooth TM with the Windows Widcomm software used by TDK, Billington, MSI and others Bluetooth USB Vendors.
The guide was created with the 7610 hadset but the steps are similar for other Series 60 devices and have been checked with the 3650 and 6600.

1.Pairing the computer and the Series 60 HandsetPairing is the process of swapping pass keys and setting up a trusted connection between the Bluetooth USB adapter / card connected to the PC and the 7610 handset. Save any files and close any applications you may have been working on.
2. Set up Bluetooth TM on the 7610 by going to the Main Menu, selecting Connect and then Bluetooth.
3. Make sure the Bluetooth option is On and My Phone's Visibility is Shown to all. Remember what is in My Bluetooth Name - or edit it to one of your choice - this is what your 7610 will be seen as by other Bluetooth TM devices.
4. Right Click on the Bluetooth Icon in the system tray, on the menu that appears go to Setup and then click on Security.
5. A window appears and all being well the right hand pane will have your 7610 (titled what ever you have entered into the phone's My Bluetooth Name entry). If nothing appears click Refresh and your phone should then appear. Highlight the 7610 and click Execute Pairing.
6. A window will pop up asking for a PassKey. Enter in a numeric only passkey and click OK.
7. On the 7610 a screen pops up asking you to enter a passkey - key in the same number you just typed into the PC.
8. By default any connections from your PC to the 7610 must be manually accepted on the 7610. You have an option to set up a connection from the PC to your 7610 as authorized, this means when you connect from the PC to the phone it won't ask you if it's ok and will connect automatically.
9. To set it as automatic: On the 7610 in the Bluetooth TM Setting Screen, you joystick right to the Paired Devices screen, highlight the Computer you just paired with and press Options, select Set as Authorized and Yes. You will then see a padlock icon beside the paired device - this device will no longer require manual authorization for connections to the 7610.

Now you should set My phone's visibility to Hidden - so that unknown devices searching won't see your phone. You can still be connected to by any paired devices. Remember to switch it to Visible if you want to pair with a new device or receive a file / business card from someone with an unpaired device.

Hide file in an image

STEPS:-

1. Gather your image and the files you wish to hide into it. Here I have a meeting.txt which I will hide inside my toshow.jpg.

2. Add the files you want to hide into a new RAR archive. (so meeting.txt.rar created newly)

3. Open Command Prompt and go to the folder where your files are located, e.g., 'C:\hidden'.

4. At command prompt type 'copy /b toshow.jpg + meeting.txt.rar lizard.jpg' (without quotes).(toshow.jpg is the picture I want to show, meeting.txt.rar is the file to be hidden, and lizard.jpg is the file which contains both.

5. Now test the lizard.jpg by double clicking it, and verifying it still opens.

6. Now try opening that same lizard.jpg file from menu: file->open of WinRar. It will show the original hidden file meeting.txt.
Done !!!!!

Now lizard.jpg is a simple JPEG for others, but it contains a secret file meeting.txt for you !!!!!!!!!
-*-

after binding u can upload the image to imageshack too..

save this image and open with winrar...and see the magic

Torrent Tutorial...

What is a torrent?
Torrents are specialized files utilized in peer-to-peer (P2P) network environments.
P2P is a network of personal computers that communicate with one another by running proprietary P2P software.
The first P2P software designed to utilize torrents was BitTorrent by Bram Cohen. Other torrent clients have followed.

What is a .torrent file?
To start the download of a file, a user clicks on a link pointing to .torrent meta-data file.
These meta-data files are not stored on the torrent trackers server, but are distributed among a number of .torrent file servers. In turn, each .torrent file points to a tracker, which keeps a global registry of all the downloaders and seeds of the corresponding file.
The tracker responds to a user’s request with a list of some of the peers having (part of) the requested file, with whom the user can establish direct connections to barter for chunks of the file. One tracker can supervise the simultaneous downloads of multiple files.

What is a torrent tracker?
A Bit Torrent tracker centrally coordinates the P2P transfer of files among users.
BitTorrent trackers are software server “toolkit” applications that typically run on Web sites.
Tracker software serves up torrent files for download from a web site.
The torrent tracker maintains information about all BitTorrent clients utilizing each torrent. Specifically, the tracker identifies the network location of each client either uploading or downloading the P2P file associated with a torrent. It also tracks which fragment(s) of that file each client possesses, to assist in efficient data sharing between clients.

What is a bit torrent client?
A BitTorrent client is any program which implements the BitTorrent protocol. Each client is capable of preparing, requesting, and transmitting any type of computer file over a network, using the protocol. A peer is any computer running an instance of a client.
BitTorrent clients connect to a tracker when attempting to work with torrent files. The tracker notifies the client of the P2P file location (that is normally on a different, remote server).

How does it work?
What basically happens is a users browses a torrent tracker to find a torrent file of interest, download it, and open it with a BitTorrent client.
The client connects to the tracker specified in the torrent file, from which it receives a list of peers currently transferring pieces of the file(s) specified in the torrent. The client connects to those peers to obtain the various pieces. Such a group of peers connected to each other to share a torrent is called a swarm. If the swarm contains only the initial seeder, the client connects directly to it and begins to request pieces. As peers enter the swarm, they begin to trade pieces with one another, instead of downloading directly from the seeder.

So how do I start downloading?
After you have learned the basics of torrents above, you can start downloading all the files you want.Below I have compiled a list of my personal favorite bit torrent clients and bit torrent trackers, of course there are hundreds of torrent trackers and dozens of bit torrent clients but these will get you on your way.I have taken the liberty of writing a small tutorial for each client to get the Optimal settings, that will allow you to receive higher speeds and make your first torrent experience memorable.

Best BitTorrent Clients:
» 1. uTorrent [optimal uTorrent settings]
» 2. Azureus [optimal Azureus settings, best Azureus plugins.]
» 3. BitComet [optimal BitComet settings]

Internet Explorer in Kiosk mode

Internet Explorer in Kiosk mode

In this view, there is nothing at the top, and nothing at the bottom.
No toolbars, no taskbar. Nothing.

Well, you can set that up automatically. You can use the current icon, or create a new one. I recommend the latter, so you're not locked into Kiosk mode.

STEPS:-

1.Start by right-clicking an empty area on the desktop.
2.Select New>>Shortcut.
3.In the box, enter "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -k.
4.Name it IE Kiosk.
5.Of course, there are no navigation buttons. So you have to substitute keystrokes.
For instance,
there is no Back button. But you can use the Backspace key.
There's no Forward button, either. So you use Alt+Right Arrow.
And to close the window? Click Ctrl+W.

Change The Storage Location Of 'my Documents', a bit safer for when your PC crashes...

normally windows saves the "My Documents" folder on your C-drive. But when you right-click on it and go to properties, you can change the location where you want windows to save your Documents folder.I have a partition set up with just windows on it, and all my things i want to keep are on different partitions/disks. So now I put My Documents on another partition than where I have windows installed. If windows screws up and you have to format your C-drive again, your documents will be spared at least...

Now my Docs are at F:\My Documents

It has became my habit from last 3-4 Years.Do this and you will never loose stuff there in an accidential crash.
